Hello, hello! I’ve missed you and your pets!!

What a crazy situation we are living in. I am so grateful for the technology that we have available today, both for keeping up with the pandemic, and helping us cope with the stay at home order by keeping us entertained.  After the first couple of stressful weeks, I decided to take this time as an opportunity to work on myself. I have tried to dedicate part of every day to learning something, moving more, cleaning something (ugh!) and creating something, interspersed with spending time with my husband, two dogs and two cats. (Binge-watching Boston Legal – James Spader!!)

So far, I am working on studying for my chiropractic neurology boards, learning to play the guitar via online classes, exercising daily (double ugh!) and walking the dogs, cooking (yum!), crocheting, felting, sewing, building a sofa table, and using my Cricut machine.

We did have some excitement on Monday when I woke up hearing some unusual noises at the foot of the bed. Turns out that Bentley had found and eaten a snack size box of raisins. ((I never buy raisins, but my husband was unaware that raisins are poisonous for dogs) Yikes! Quick trip to the vet, induced vomiting and sub-Q fluids along with lots of rest and TLC, and so far, he seems to be doing fine. We are very grateful that he is doing well, but this is a great reminder of why everyone who lives with dogs and cats should be aware of what foods are dangerous to our animals.

Thank you to those of you who are out there working with the public, as well as those that are supporting them at home. We will get through this, and I am looking forward to hearing how all of you are doing when next we meet.  Say hello to your pets for me!
